Nestled at the foot of Mam-Ratagan this small hamlet overlooks Loch Duich and the majestic
Five Sisters of Kintail. Ratagan offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can soak up the beauty of your surroundings yet be close to historic and picturesque places of interest. Families travelling with small children will be delighted with the swing / play park right on our doorstep.





There are many activities you may like to try such as; - pony trekking, swimming, fishing, boat trips to see the seals, the otter hive or a horse drawn carriage ride through the forest. If you like walking your choice is endless with everything from forest paths to mountain peaks.

This area is one of the most scenic in Scotland so if you like sightseeing you will be delighted with a different view around every corner, with lots of secluded spots for a picnic. Ratagan is the ideal base for touring many parts of the highlands being close to the Isle of Skye, Eilean Donan Castle,
the Falls of Glomach and many more.

Your accommodation is in this Swedish style timber house where you will receive a real highland welcome from your hosts David and Linda. They have been welcoming guests to their home in Scotland for six years. We find our international visitors really appreciate the peace and quiet and the fact that we encourage them to come and go as they please.
I certainly don't have any house rules like having to be in or out by a certain time.





Breakfast is served in the dining room where you can enjoy a full Scottish breakfast or continental if you prefer a full a la carte menu is available for evening meals where you can try some local Scottish fare, special meals will be provided on request i.e. vegetarian etc. Packed lunches are also available, and just ask if you would like your flask made up in the morning.

The sun lounge is the perfect place to sit and write your post cards with a complementary cup of tea or coffee. In the evening relax with a glass of wine and plan your next days outing with your hosts who will always be on hand to offer suggestions and advice.

Fisherbeck has four letting rooms. Two twin rooms , one double room and one triple. All rooms are en-suite, with the exception of one of the twin rooms which has it's own private bathroom. All rooms have tea / coffee three en-suite rooms have T.V.

How to find us. East from Kyle of Lochalsh 16 miles to Shiel Bridge, on A87 turn right on single-track road for 1.5 miles following signs for Ratagan. West from Inverness 65 miles to Shiel Bridge on A8 7 turn left. From Glasgow 165 miles to Shiel bridge.
